It was taken, along with some trout, at Dubai Long Pier, formerly known as Redington Long Pier.

July 5 - This couild be the breakout week for Sarasota Tarpon on the beaches. The west winds and rains have left the water murky, but a couple of mild days may be just what we need to get us back on track. This fish, getting a leader touch by Mason Tush fishing with Capt. Rick Grassett, was taken just before all the bad weather came in. Since then, Capt. Rick says it's been Bay fishing or nothing.

He was fishing with Capt Jamie Baker when the tossed the net blind by a piling, only the net stated to swim off. They eventually got the big fish aboard, with only minor damage to their bait net. All we can say, is if that's the kind of bait these guys catch, we don't want to see what they catch with it.

Dear Bitetracker: Thanks to Bitetracker we had a super day. I checked the website and went to the area where trout were reported. Three of us landed 56 trout in about 4 hours. No count on the ones we didn't land and you know the biggest one got away! Bitetracker is the day planner for people who want to catch fish – John Wesphal, shown above right with Russ Pendergaff.
